An evening with DAMIAN WILSON and ADAM WAKEMAN
SATURDAY 19TH JANUARY 2019
Last February’s concert by Wilson & Wakeman was probably the best concert of 2018. It was an evening of great musicianship, great songs, great atmosphere and jovial between song banter between themselves and the audience.
Now they are back, with Damian on vocals and acoustic guitar and Adam on piano, vocals and acoustic guitar. The two will play songs from their individual and joint back catalogues and from artists who they have worked with, intertwined with stories and memories from their touring careers in a show that is not to be missed.
Damian Wilson is most widely known for his contribution to the progressive rock genre, as lead singer in bands such as Threshold, Headspace and Rick Wakeman’s English Rock Ensemble. As a solo artist he has released five solo albums and a retrospective compilation. He has featured in over 70 albums in his career and played the lead role of Jean Valjean in Les Miserables. Damian has one of the most versatile voices in rock, with an incredible vocal range.
Adam Wakeman is best known as the keyboard player with Black Sabbath. He has played with them for 15 years. He has released nine albums with his father Rick, as well as releasing four solo albums. He co-wrote the 2010 platinum solo album ‘Scream’ with Ozzy Osbourne and has also toured with the likes of Travis, Annie Lennox and 10cc.
As a duo, Damian and Adam have released two albums, ‘Weir Keeper’s Tale’ in 2016 and ‘The Sun will Dance in its Twilight Hour’ in 2018. In 2017 Damian released his amazing solo album ‘Built for Fighting’.
We again feel privileged to promote this concert on Wilson and Wakeman’s second ever UK Tour. It is sure to be another magical evening.
