GARDEN FEST
SUNDAY 17TH JULY 2022
An afternoon of great music at Klassic Park, Kirton (DN21 4BX) featuring five acts from the UK, Australia and America. This is a bring your own food, drink and chairs event. Relax and enjoy over five hours of live music.
First up will be local band 3rd and Church playing a set of well known American music.
Next we welcome Australian duo The Weeping Willows, Andy Wrigglesworth and Laura Coates. The ‘Willows’ excel in the art of harmony, their words and melodies intertwine with their two voices becoming one.
A Town Hall Garden Fest wouldn’t be complete without the enigmatic Paul McClure, The Rutland Troubadour. He will make you smile with his between song banter and his wonderful self-penned songs. There might even be an appearance from the McClure Family Singers!
Sharing the headlining spots will be Hannah Aldridge from Muscle Shoals, Alabama and Lachlan Bryan & The Wildes from Melbourne, Australia.
Hannah will be accompanied by her partner Gus on lead guitar, with sound ranging from blues to the musical stylings of Muscle Shoals and Nashville, where she now lives. She always puts on a stunning show with her strong clear and emotion packed vocals.
You can pin a multitude of labels on Lachlan Bryan’s music and not be far off the mark. Take a pick from rock’n’roll, folk and alternative country or any other contemporary roots cliche. More importantly Lachlan writes damn good songs and delivers them with sincerity, and a cynical wit.
Hannah and Lachlan will then round off the event by joining forces and playing with The Wildes performing songs from their recent collaboration together.
Tickets are priced at £22.50, and can be obtained from Londis (Kirton), from Brian on 01652 649230/ brianchudley@btinternet.com or from www.wegottickets.com.
