LAUREN HOUSLEY & THE NORTHERN COWBOYS

Lauren Housley is back with a new six-piece band, The Northern Cowboys, which includes Tom Dibb on lead guitar and Mark Lewis on bass.  The addition of keyboards, trumpet, saxophone and drums and a selection of new songs will give a new direction to Lauren’s previous Town Hall Live concerts.

Lauren last appeared in December last year soon after the release of her latest excellent solo album ‘Girl From The North’.  In early 2023, Lauren and Tom started writing and recording new material with The Cowboys. ‘Girl From The North’ was Lauren’s fourth album after ‘One Step Closer’, ‘Sweet Surrender’ and ‘The Beauty of This Life’.  Another collaboration saw Chorlton Country Club release the album ‘Volume 1’ in 2019.              

Lauren’s love of music began at an early age, with a connection to great songs, the craft of storytelling and her smoky soul-tinged voice.  Her career really took off when she met her husband Tom Dibb at University.  That was over ten years ago.  They have since married and have two children.

Bob Harris has been a long-time advocate of Lauren’s music.  She and her bands have played many top Festivals over the last five years and this year ‘The Cowboys’ have performed at The Black Deer Festival, Festival in the Park, Sutton and the Great British R & B Festival, amongst others.   She has also opened for the likes of Jack Savoretti, Van Morrison and Yola.

Lauren’s voice is both bluesy and soulful.  Her songs bring an air of optimism, heart-warming hope and a belief on overcoming obstacles.

Support will come from Stella Prince who is originally from Woodstock, NY. But now established in Nashville.  She is a singer songwriter, who brings heartfelt authenticity to contemporary music through evocative lyrics, beautifully crafted melodies and angelic haunting vocals.
