The Robbie Cavanagh Band
THE ROBBIE CAVANAGH BAND, SATURDAY 7TH MARCH 2020
We are delighted Robbie Cavanagh is bringing his band to Kirton, as part of their first headlining UK Tour.
Robbie has performed twice before at Town Hall Live. In December 2017 he supported Danni Nicholls and in September 2019 he was a special guest at Chorlton Country Club’s Roadshow Revue.
Robbie plays self-penned, un-scrubbed tales of heartbreak, love, loss and discovery. When he puts pen to paper he lives by his own words, ‘the more you wrestle with an idea, the more contrived it becomes. He writes with honesty, emotion, and most importantly instinctively. He sings with clear, soothing vocals and a gentle manner, stepping out on stage with his long hair, Levi’s and Stetson and his guitar slung over his shoulder.
Robbie has worked with Radio 2’s Bob Harris, recording live studio sessions. Bob’s company ‘Under the AppleTree’ have also been heavily involved in Robbie’s music, inviting him to perform at festivals and showcases across this country and in America. The band have played a numerous festivals over the last couple of years, including Black Deer, Maverick, Cornbury, Wilderness, etc.
Robbie latest record ‘To Leave – To Be Left’ received high praise from both fans and industry professionals alike. It is timeless, stunning and gorgeous. He recorded the follow up album in the second half of 2019 and it is due for release in the summer of 2020.
The Robbie Cavanagh consists of Robbie on lead and acoustic guitars, Mark Khan on bass, Dan Wiebe on drums.Support will come from the wonderful Demi Marriner. Demi’s passion and emotion is so contagious that it is impossible not to be captivated by her. Riding shotgun alongside her unique and outstanding song writing are Demi’s powerful and emotive live performances.
