ELLES BAILEY SATURDAY 14TH DECEMBER 2019
For our last concert of 2019 we are delighted to welcome back Elles Bailey and her band to Kirton.
Elles and the band play music that crosses genres, blending roots sounds with blues and soul. She has a talent for crafting, and seamlessly weaving those genres to give her music a contemporary edge. The 29 year old from Bristol has a smoky vocal style that perfectly suits her music.
The rise and rise of Elles Bailey on the UK and European music scene has much to do with her tireless road work that sees her play over 100 concerts each year. To start 2019 she played eleven dates in the Czech Republic, seven in Spain and seventeen in the UK and Ireland to promote her new album ‘Road I Call Home’ and she has followed those up with many more throughout the year.
Her previous album ‘Wildfire’ was recorded at Nashville’s Bluebird Studios and was produced by Brad Nowell. It had a distinct Anglo – American feel to it, as does ‘Road’. This time the album was recorded at Nashville’s Sound Emporium with Nowell again at the helm. The bluesy base that served Elles so well on ‘Wildfire’ is still rock steady, but is decorated with a rich soulful feel and a horn sound to die for.
Elles will be joined on the Town Hall Live stage by her stellar band, with Joe Wilkins on guitar, Ruth Hammond on keyboards, Matthew Jones on drums and Matthew Waer on drums. It will be the perfect way to end the year and celebrate the Christmas period. Elles Bailey is destined to be a star. It’s a fact that she has the talent necessary, the drive, the band and the product. Every song is fresh and original. Don’t miss her.
Support comes from Bristol based singer PHIL KING. As a singer songwriter Phil has the whole package. A beautiful singing voice, deft guitar playing skills and the capacity to write elegantly worded and powerful songs. He has a voice to die for.
Advanced Tickets are priced at £13.50 and can be obtained from the Costcutter store in the town, from Brian on 01652 649230 or from www.wegottickets.com.
